Linlithgow Palace

Last Thursday we went on a trip to Linlithgow Palace.
We all boarded the coach from the Project Ability Studios at Albion Street. Cameron and Sharon met us all there as they live close by.
The coach journey wasn't too long and we arrived just as the rain was stopping.
We were very lucky that the sun came out and we were able to get some great pictures!

this was part of the view from the top of the highest tower. David and Cameron climbed all the stairs to the top to get these shots.

Sharon waves up at Cameron as Edward and Robert sketch the fountain at the palace (one of the oldest in Britain!)

This is part of the fountain. The two girls who gave us a guided tour (in period costume!) told us this Spaniel was a mistake on the fountain but the Queen liked it so much that she decided to keep it!

another view from the top. The palace has just finished being restored and more areas of the Palace were open to the public.

this is Michael and Steven drawing the Palace with Tommy and Allison admiring the view.

We all stopped for lunch and sat at the picnic tables -it got so hot by this point we all had to take our jackets off!

after lunch the gang took a walk around the Palace grounds. Here we are all having a right good ol' time!

We're all looking forward to our next day out and we'll keep you posted!
